My Nephew's Birthday (18/1/2009) to be marked

Today I celebrated my nephew’s birthday. What can be a more joyous occasion than the first birthday of my baby
nephew Abiram? It was an occasion of great rejoicing when they marked their first year of being parents.

By seven o’clock, most of the guests had arrived. My nephew was so excited that he wanted to leave his handprints
on the cake. I was assigned to watch after Abiram to make sure that he did not spoil the beautifully decorated
birthday cake. At eight o’clock, it was time to cut the cake. Abiram stood in front of the cake with a knife placed
in his little hand. The candle was blown and he decided to take charge and dropped the knife. As his parents bent
down to pick up the knife, he brought his two little hands down onto the cake and “splash”, the cake is spoilt.
Then, everybody looked towards me because I am in charge of preventing him from spoiling the cake. Then all of us
burst into hysterical laughter.

After the laughter, the food began to flow. My brother made sure that I took special care of Abiram and make sure
that he did not mess up any food again. Later I had to feed him a piece of cake and he wanted to eat it by himself. I allowed and he started playing with it. The last guest left at about 10 o’clock and we all felt very happy and contented because everything went smoothly
