Is hostel life fun? That’s a question often asked to me by my friends and relatives. Especially Francis if you don’t know him he is a annoying but intelligent prefect. He has asked me the question almost 20 times. Most people think that hostel life is boring and lonely. Well, after spending an entire year here, I actually find it rather challenging and fun-filled.
If you are a person that don’t mix with people well, then definitely, hostel life is not suitable for you. You’ll feel that no one is there to help you out when you have problems. Thus, you’ll feel lonely and left out. But to me, that’s definitely not the case. Okay, maybe at first, I felt a like that a little bit. But after awhile, I got to know many new friends. Since then, I had changed my impression about the hostel totally. Every weekend, my friends and I either go out for meals or sometimes even to the cinema. We also play computer games with each other. It is really fun as sometimes there are about 20 of us playing together. Whenever one of us feel down, the others will definitely try their best to help him out.
Of course, we don’t forget our main priority – education. Every night, we study together in the canteen for at least 2 hours. Whenever I face problems in my homework, I can always count on my seniors to teach me how to solve it.
However, sometimes when I face difficulties, I’ll have to solve it myself as my parents aren’t there to solve it for me. Because of this, I feel that I’m now much more independent than I was before. Of course, if I really can’t solve it myself, my friends are always there for me.
Well, I hope after this entry you’ll get a better picture of hostel life. :) :)
